Your generosity helps afflicted individuals and their families form the “koinonia” the true community in Christ, which St. Paul stresses throughout the Epistles.This community can reach out to those in need, of all denominations, and not only accompany this vulnerable and marginalized population, but can provide much needed spiritual consolation, guidance and even help to destigmatize the disease by providing programs of education and prevention in parishes, dioceses and on college campuses.
