Keaton Douglas joins the Modern Catholic Family podcast

The Road to Hope: The Church’s Response to the Crisis of Addiction

Modern Catholic Family Podcast – Episode published 7/14/26

Addiction is messy, addiction is sometimes bloody, and it’s a place holy people haven’t always gone, until now. Jim and Meghan sit down with Keaton Douglas to explore how the Catholic Church can become a true resource for those struggling with addiction and the families who love them. Drawing from her own story of loss, healing, and an unexpected call to ministry, Keaton shares how her book The Road to Hope and new series Unshackled are helping families find their way back to hope. With honesty and deep faith, she reminds listeners that no one is meant to walk the road to recovery alone. 🙏 Subscribe to Modern Catholic Family for weekly conversations, faith-filled encouragement, and practical tools for living your Catholic vocation—together.

Keaton joins Darrin Nelson’s Podcast: Catholics Living Discipleship

I’m thriled to share this recording of my recent appearance on the Catholics Living Discipleship podcast with Darrin Nelson.

I invite you to stream this episode exploring iTHIRST, and how parishes can spiritually accompany families afflicted with substance abuse.

A note from Darrin:

“In this podcast video I speak with Keaton Douglas, Executive Director and creator of iThirst. The iTHIRST Initiative is a comprehensive program which focuses on spirituality in the prevention, treatment, and aftercare of those suffering from substance use disorders and their families. The iTHIRST Spiritual Companionship (ITSC) Training, is a faith-based continuing education which instructs lay leaders and clergy on the spiritual dimension of addiction/recovery, certified through Seton Hall University. This is a wonderful way to broaden how we Accompany people along their life journey at parishes.”
